30 Days of Lists - Sep 6

Favorite Color Combinations...

** Green and Yellow Of course - geez.

** Blue and Green - there are certain shades where it works and where it doesn't

** Pink and Brown - trendy a while back, but still seems to be a great combo

Not a fan of the current trend of yellow and gray, can't wait for it to end!

30 Days of Lists - Sept 5

I Need an App for...

** Reminding me to keep calm when frustrated - just something to zap me to take a breath before I say something I shouldn't

** Run those errands that I just don't want to do - please, can the app do all those trips to the pharmacy?

** Do exercise for me, cuz I don't want to do it!

** Clean the bathroom - come on, there has to be something out there that will do all those bathroom cleanings.

Oh, to dream!  If I only I was a developer instead of an accountant...

30 Days of Lists - Sept 4

Things To Do on a Sunday Morning...

** Attend Church - we aren't part of the every Sunday crowd, but when we do go, it's always an inspiration and uplifting time in our day

** Browse the Sunday paper - coupons and coupons and shopping ideas and coupons!

** Enjoy a Homemade Breakfast - the weekend is when hubby is in charge of breakfast and I always look forward to it!

** Head out to Disney - I'm sure this response is influenced by the weather cooling off and remembering from prior fall seasons that it's actually tolerable to be outside and wandering miles of pavement on a sunny day

30 Days of Lists - Sep 3

Yes, it's actually Sep 14 and I'm just getting around to posting the lists from Sep 3-14!

People I Love:

** My Hubby - he's pretty awesome!

** My Kitties - technically not "people", but they have some big personalities in our household

** My Family & Friends - where would I be without their influence?

** People who have a realistic view of the world - not overly optimistic and not Chicken Little, the sky is falling - those folks that see things how they are and have learned to deal with what life throws at them.

I know it's a pretty sad Oscar acceptance speech, but I'm not a gusher :)

30 Days of Lists - September 2

A great topic today for a Friday heading into a 3 day weekend!

I'm Happiest When...

** The sun is shining - I get this from my mom; I remember that on sunny days she was so much perkier and ready to tackle the day's tasks

** Packing for a vacation - there's just something about packing a bag and making arrangements for cat sitters that hypes the anticipation of leaving behind all the worries of everyday life.  My especially happy moments are dropping luggage with the porters as we make our way to checkin for a cruise!

** Eating good Mexican food - Florida has nothing on California's Mexican cuisine and I miss is all the time, so when we take those trips back to CA, that's always my first happy moment

**  Completing a project - the high of knowing that you can put the "DONE" stamp on something feels so good.  It must be because I have so many projects in half-way stages that I feel so light and airy when something actually is complete.  Maybe I should try to do this more often :)

Happy long Labor Day weekend!

30 Days of Lists - September 1st

30 days of lists - yes, a new list every day for 30 days.  For those that know me, they know it's right up my alley!  I'm a list maker, a list reviewer, and a list completer - my world revolves around lists... they keep me sane and allow me the freedom to not have to keep everything in my brain.  Over the years my lists have changed in format, style, accessibility, and topics.  So, when I heard about this month long fun of making a new list everyday, I just knew I had to try it!

September 1st List:  Goals for this month

** Get a project schedule ready for holiday and baby - I've always had grand goals of what projects I'm going to make for Thanksgiving and Christmas and time just seems to sneak up and pass me by.  I'm starting the schedule now.  And with the baby, there are so many fun things I want to make for the nursery that if I don't get them going now, it just won't get done :)

** Organize scrap room - we've got the space plan ready and now it's just a matter of getting everything where it belongs, which pretty much means I need to start the purging process!

** Complete 1 project per week on scrap list - so many half done projects or ideas are sitting in my scrap area - it's time to get them done and spend more time reviewing the finished projects than wondering when I'll get around to doing them

** Keep CALM - queue slow cleansing breath...  just keep calm

** Plan a date night with Hubby - soon, date night will be non-existent with the addition of baby Fox, so now is the time to do something we've always wanted to do - time to get creative!

Stay tuned for the next 30 days for my list adventure!  Woohoo!

Reflections

While I spend the last day of my vacation at home, I am watching Eat, Pray, Love for the first time.  I spent the whole day yesterday uploading pictures from my computer to Snapfish so that I won't lose them the next time the computer decides to stop working.  It was fun to reflect on all the activities that we have done in the last year and a half.  Here are some fond memories:

Brad's Graduation from UCF with his Masters in Business Administration.

Spending time with friends

Love in an elevator... um, balloon.

Finding Duck fans wherever you go

Hot times in Orlando theme parks with our niece

Our first ever 5K run!

Camping out of cell phone range

And a new addition in Feb 2012.

Many happy memories to cover the hard times and looking forward to many happy memories to come.
