Saturday #4 - March 17, 2012

This was a very special Saturday because Devon was baptized and welcomed into God's family.  Our friends and family gathered at Hope Lutheran Church to celebrate together.  It was made even more special because we had not only Hope's Pastor, Paul vonWerder, performing the ceremony, but also Devon's Granddad, Steve Fox.  Both of them blessed Devon and his parents and godparents with God's love and forgiveness.  After the touching ceremony, we all gathered at our house to enjoy the beautiful day.

During this week, Jenn came to visit and worked her magic on getting Devon to sleep during the day.  He pretty much fell asleep every time she picked him up - he loved it as much as she did.  Jenn has a long history with us - friends from UO, Matron of Honor in our wedding, and now Devon's godmother - she's such a blessing us and we are so excited to have her in Devon's life.

Anthony is Devon's godfather and a long time friend of ours in Florida.  He and Brad hit it off when they were both working at Bright House early on in our days of Orlando life.  Since then, he's been our fellow Disney lover, board games partner, and cat sitter (aka Tucker's BFF.)  He's full of love to give and with his family all the way up in Buffalo, NY, Devon gets to soak up what he's readily offering.  We are looking forward to many years of Disney adventures together from the eyes of a child!
